New Overlay Contest and Friday Freebie

Well we have been accused of being crazy a few times but we are really going crazy now. With this Fridays Freebie we are kicking off our first contest.


We are having an overlay contest and it is open to anyone that wants to join in. Prizes will be awarded to First, Second, and Third place winners and there is a goodie for those that just want to participate by commenting in the contest. No you do not have to join the contest to get this Fridays Freebie, you will find it below, but we sure hope that you will consider joining in. Someone will win so it might as well be you, but you can't win if you don't join in.

We are so looking forward to seeing all the great creativity that we know is out there. If you don't know how to make an overlay, there is a tutorial link under Tutorials in the Menu on the right.

Well all contests have rules or they wouldn't be a contest so on to the rules and the Friday Freebie.

Overlay Contest Rules





1. You must Register at Digital Imagery Plus Gallery to post your
pages. Please see the Registration Instructions in the Contest Menu
on the left side of the blog. This will be a one time registration
that you will need to do to enter all contests on this site. We
will have many more in the near future.

2. The Overlay Contest will begin Friday August 1, 2008 12:00 AM
CST (or earlier if we really get excited), and end on August 7,
2008 midnight CST. Judges will judge all entries and winners will
be notified and posted on Monday, August 11, 2008. Judges score
will be 50 % of your total and comments will make up the other 50%
of your total.

3. Overlays must be entirely made from any image or images, or any
part of an image or images that is in the floral and plants
freebie. Nothing else can be used, this means you can not add
swirls, etc unless you can find a part of an image that will work.
So you will need to really use your imagination here.

4. Create your overlay or overlays, there is a limit of 5 entries
per person.

5. Add a solid background to your overlay, resize it to 1200 x 1200
pixels or to a size smaller than 1 MB (1024KB) and save as a .jpg
file.

6. Go to the DIP store or type in this link
http://digitalimageryplus.com/
and click on the gallery link and login and upload your page or
pages placing them in the album Overlay Contest. In the
description area, place your description, the numbers of the images
used ( the images in the free pack are numbered).

7. First Place Winner will receive the full Floral and Plants
Graphic Pack A, new in store, free. Second Place Winner will receive
one half of the new pack free. Third Place Winner will receive one
third of the new pack free.

8. We are being generous and giving away a free pack of 15 images
to all participants that want to go register in the gallery as per
instructions above and comment on the entries.
